You-Plaza is a very large recreational swimming facility. Perhaps the largest in Shimane 島根. It is located in Izumo 出雲, not too far from the city centre.

You-Plaza has a high capacity and during the summer break many children are there. The features include a wading pool that descends like a beach, a standard 25m pool, a large current pool, two large water slides, one with rubber floating devices, an Onsen area with two Jacuzzis, a dry sauna, cold shower station and Utase-yu 打たせ湯 (water drops from above to massage shoulders) station. At busy times a food store is open in the pool area. There are inflatable objects, kick boards, goggles and swimming caps all available for free hire.
The current pool surrounds middle area featuring the main pool and one of the water slides. Sanintabi! recommends using a floating device and letting the current push you all around the course for some soothing relaxation.
The sauna is heated to about 60degrees C and is not so effective especially with swimming trunks, however it is decently sized and will produce a sweat over time. There are lounge chairs just outside the Onsen / Hot spring and Sauna area as well as in front of the pool so parents can keep an eye on their children.
