Sanbe Onsen Sanbe Sou 三瓶温泉 三瓶荘is an exceptionally fine establishment with a unique Onsen / Hot Spring 温泉. There is a good restaurant and this is a National Accommodation facility 国民宿舎 with support from the local government.

The Onsen / Hot Spring 温泉 itself is quite impressive. Enter the Onsen 温泉 from the locker room and there is a dry sauna on the left with a cold water plunge pool conveniently located near the entrance. The indoor bath is spacious and tiled. The outdoor bath (Rotenburo) 露天風呂 is a spectacularly large rock bath with clear spring water. Proceed past the outdoor bath and there is a section outside with several bathing tubs, all featuring spring water containing sediment. The first three tubs are high temperature baths and behind them are five more tubs with comparatively low temperatures because the water comes directly from the spring. There are tubs of interesting shapes such as a very large Sake Barrel, and a wooden sailboat with a dragon as the water spout.
There is mineral water for drinking available in the outdoor area and Sanintabi appreciated the characteristic square wooden cup.
The shop provides refreshments most suited to after the Onsen 温泉 experience such as milk and ice-cream. They also sell other food and a variety of local goods and products.
